Tribhuvan International Airport and Tenzing Hillary Airport are the two major airports of the country that connect Nepal with the rest of the world through direct or indirect flights.
To date, there are no direct passenger trains connecting India with Nepal. However, tourists can travel to the Nepal border from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh from where they can take a train to Kurtha in the Dhanusa district of Nepal.
Although it might be time-consuming, travelling to Nepal by road is one of the most convenient ways of travelling. Tourists can enter Nepal by road from various parts of India such as West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh. However, you might need to pay the Bhansar, Nepal customs fee at the border if you have been travelling by your own car.
