Spread across 932 sq km of land, the Chitwan National Park is one of the largest national parks in the country and is home to a variety of plant and annual species. The UNESCO site holds some of the rare and endangered animal species which include the One-horned Rhinoceros, Bengal Tiger, Sloth Bears, Asian Elephants and many others. The national park is located on the road from Kathmandu to Pokhara and therefore can be easily accessed from the major cities of the country.
