A hidden valley of Dooars, Jaldhaka has emerged as one of the most popular tourist destinations due to its pleasant weather, rich wildlife and landmark sites. Located in the southeast region of Neora Valley in Kalimpong, the valley of Jaldhaka is known for its rich culture, lush gardens and temples that attract tourists and travellers all over the year. Jaldhaka River is the Himalayan River that originates from the ancient silk route of Sikkim and flows through various regions including Sikkim, Bhutan and West Bengal. Jaldhaka is also home to the Jaldhaka Hydel Project Dam which was built on the Bindu and is among the first of its kind in the entire country. Although the dam can be visited by tourists, they need to get approval from the West Bengal State Electricity Board (WBSEB).
