Chaita Dasai

This is among the major festivals of the city that is celebrated on the birthday of Lord Vishnu and the victory of good over evil. The people mostly celebrate this day with various dance forms and music ceremonies that are performed all over the city.

Tihar

Thar is the largest festival in the city and resembles same as the Hindu festival of Diwali. The festival lasts for five days and is celebrated all around the region with zeal and zest. The festival is celebrated in the month of October to November.

Losar

The Tibetan New Year, Losar is a popular festival that is celebrated on the birthday of Lord Buddha in the first month of the lunar calendar. The Buddhist festival also includes the preparation of various delicious veg cuisines that are served to all the devotees.

Orange Festival
