Placed in the middle of Gasa, Wangdue Phodrang and Thimphu District, Punakha is home to some of the finest structures in the country one of which is Punakha Dzong. The 17th-century Dzong is one of the oldest Dzong in the country located on the junction point of Pho and Mho Rivers of Bhutan. The valley is also popular for being home to the largest suspension bridge in the country, the Punakha Suspension Bridge which stretched across 180 m in length.
