Bhutan being one of the isolated countries of the world is well connected with its neighboring countries through airways. Druk Air is the primary airline of the country and Paro International Airport is the only international airport that connects Bhutan with the rest of the world.
Although there are no train routes in Bhutan, tourists can reach the country by travelling to the nearest Hasimara railway station located at a distance of 18 km from the city of Phuentsholing.
Travelling to road is one of the best ways to reach Bhutan. There are multiple routes to reach Bhutan, however, National Highway 317 A is the only major highway that connects Bhutan with the rest of the Indian cities.
